I’m sure you are wondering how these two very different subjects unite...and I can’t wait to tell you!
Let me introduce myself:
My name is Beka Wolfe and I’m married to my best friend, Nick. We have been married for 8 years and have been in the international adoption process for a little over 3 1/2 years. This journey has been everything you would think it would be: educational, emotional, and full of blessings. For a more detailed story behind our adoption, I’d love for you to check out our adoption blog thewolfesadopt.com. But in the mean time, I’d love to give you an overall picture. Nick and I are waiting for a match phone call from Bulgaria. We are hoping to be matched with a child or sibling group under 5 years old.
While we wait we stay busy with full time jobs, church, friends/family, and sharing our adoption experience. In July of 2018, I was introduced to Zyia Active, a company out of Utah that allows activewear lovers like me to wear, share, and build a business within this growing industry. Nick and I researched the company, talked through the opportunity, and slept on it. The next morning I woke up with “Activewear for Adoption” on my heart. I knew it was from God and that He was making a way to financially support our adoption. The overwhelming peace was stronger than the panic of my heart and I knew I was signing up for something out of my comfort zone. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m an introvert and wall flower. I don’t speak in front of crowds and I tend to enjoy one on one time with people. As Nick and I prayed about the opportunity I knew this was exactly what I was supposed to do and I jumped in with both feet.
Since then, i’ve been able to share our heart for adoption with hundreds of people, add money to our adoption fund, and meet some crazy awesome people!
Now that you know why Activewear for Adoption exists, I want to talk about the importance of high quality active wear. As a part of my heart for Activewear for Adoption, I LOVE when women feel good in what they are wearing. One of my favorite things to hear is “I’m starting to work out again” because I know once they try on a pair of our Light N Tight leggings that stays up on her hips, has pockets, and allows for all around comfort during her workouts, she will LOVE to workout and continue towards a healthy lifestyle. I frequently tell people, don’t pay attention to the size of the item, how do you FEEL in it? Confidence is beautiful. Especially when paired with wellness. When you feel confident in your outfit, you’ll be able to focus on your workout, get a better workout in, and be excited for the next day’s workout! Wellness is a journey that starts with baby steps and I hope I get to be apart of encouraging women (and men too! We have a men’s line as well)towards movement and activity!
